'Made Man' (PS2/PC) Coming to North America

by Rainier on Nov. 7, 2006 @ 9:12 a.m. PST

Prepare to get 'made' in the most compelling and thrilling mafia experience you've ever seen. Work up the ranks of The Mob, from opportunist G.I. fighting in Vietnam, to 'wise guy' on the make, doing deeds and winning favor from the Don in New York City.

Spanning three decades, Joey’s story unfurls during a harrowing day in New York as he regales his curious nephew with a cautionary tale of what it takes to make it in the unforgiving world of Cosa Nostra. Organized crime expert and author David Fisher (Joey the Hit Man: The Autobiography of a Mafia Killer, The Good Guys) lends his expertise to the narrative, which includes scenarios based on real-world events, giving gamers an authentic peek inside the world of ruthless wise guys.

“Our culture is fascinated by the Mafia, and Made Man features all of the elements that make for a classic crime drama – power, greed, betrayal and tons of action,” said Ted Staloch, Executive Vice President for Publishing at Aspyr Media. “Of course, those are also the ingredients for good daytime television, but you won’t ever see a cold, calculating Mafioso blasting his way through 17 challenging levels on Days of our Lives. This title is a fast-paced, fun addition to the crime/shooter genre coming early next year.”

Along with its riveting story, Made Man will feature licensed music to help immerse the gamer deeper into the time periods and a number of compelling gameplay elements that are sure to keep shooter fans glued to the screen. These include more than 25 weapons (pistols, rifles, shotguns and various melee weapons), dual wielding, jump-to-cover mechanics, picture-in-picture remote viewing of key locations, deformable environments and rag-doll physics.
