by Rainier on Feb. 17, 2006 @ 1:19 a.m. PST

Relentless Software, known for Buzz! The Music Quiz, today announced the recruitment of 6 new staff to its creative team with plans for more additions as the studio expands.

David Amor, co-founder and Creative Director of Relentless Software commented, 'We're actively seeking talented people to join us and are delighted that we've managed to tempt some very creative people to come work with us, some of whom are entering the videogames industry for the first time.'

Relentless Software is currently working on Buzz! The Big Quiz (PS2) to be published by Sony in the UK on March 17th 2006. The team is also working on other, as yet, unannounced titles.

Chris Pacey. Chris joined Relentless Software as a programmer in the technology group, contributing to Buzz: The Big Quiz. Having previously worked as an acoustic engineer in the audio industry, he naturally gravitates towards audio-related programming. This is his first position in videogames.

Jamie Osborne. Jamie joined Relentless Software, his first position in the games industry, as a Programmer working on "Buzz: The Big Quiz". He started his career 6 years ago, most recently working as a Software Engineer for a defence company.

Jez Harris. After finishing college, Jez began his career in QA at Bullfrog in 1998. After a year of varying responsibilities working on Populous 3 and Dungeon Keeper 2 amongst others, he moved to a design role at Bristol-based Hothouse Creations, building maps and writing scenarios for Gangsters 2. Two years later, an opportunity arose to return to EA, where he spent 4 years designing various games for the Harry Potter franchise - notably Quidditch World Cup - and other projects. After completing work on Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, Jez moved to Relentless as senior designer on the next title in the Buzz! franchise.

Tom Bolton. Originally from Holland, Tom came to study Design Technology at Brighton University. Whilst doing so worked with several game developers on a freelance basis, doing functionality & localisation testing. Since graduating he has contributed to several Relentless releases as an assistant producer.

Ben Lee. Ben is the Lead Artist on Relentless Software's "Buzz: The Big Quiz". Ben has a traditional animation background that transitioned into directing 3d animation in the 90's, followed by moving into videogames. Most recently he was art director at Irrational Games Australia, on the games "Freedom Force", "Tribes Vengeance" and "Freedom Force vs the 3rd Reich".

Chris Britten. Trained as a product designer and worked as a 3d visualiser and animator in Amsterdam, Australia and UK before turning freelance. Joined Relentless as a 3D artist, his first job in the games industry.
