'Left Behind: Eternal Forces' Gets Musical Score

by Rainier on June 20, 2006 @ 4:43 p.m. PDT

Left Behind: Eternal Forces will put players in command of the apocalyptic battles raging in the streets of New York City between the angelic Tribulation Forces and the demonic Global Community Peacekeepers during the End of Days. Gamers will participate in events from the Left Behind book series in single player mode and battle to capture territory from other players in the multi-player online game mode.

Thomas will be working with a new music composition technique that was developed by HUGEsound. The technique, dubbed HUGEmusic STAX, allows the composer unprecedented freedom, flexibility and control over the scoring process. Thomas is well known for the emotional depth he brings to his work, and he is taking it to a new level for LEFT BEHIND: Eternal Forces. He has composed multiple tracks that will ebb and flow to enhance the on-screen action.

Thomas refuses to work on game titles that are rated M (mature), instead focusing his efforts on games that put less emphasis on gore. He takes a spiritual approach to his work.

"I must confess that each time I begin a new piece of music, I kneel down and pray for inspiration," Thomas said. "Apparently, my reception is not too good at times... But every once in a while, a gem of inspiration is presented to me and I do my best to craft an appropriate setting for it."

The LEFT BEHIND: Eternal Forces soundtrack will be on sale on CD and for digital download. The main theme and song segments will also be available as downloadable ring tones.

"We believe that LEFT BEHIND fans will appreciate the highest quality music possible." said Troy Lyndon, CEO, Left Behind Games Inc.

Fans who would like to listen to a sample can do so at the company's home page at www.leftbehindgames.com.
