Sign up to Beta Test SkillGround Gaming Service and Get $50

by Rainier on Sept. 1, 2006 @ 2:08 p.m. PDT

SkillGround is the world's first video game service where competitors from around the world can play top quality video games head-to-head in a secure and fair environment for fun and real money. The creators are currently hosting a beta test, and the first 1,000 people to sign up receive $50 to use as entry fees to play other gamers on SkillGround.

Once you sign up for the service, you can challenge other gamers in quick matches if you beat your opponent, you will receive SkillGround dollar credits. At the end of the beta, if you have played in matches where you have paid entry fees totaling at least $50 (SkillGround Dollars), you get to keep your account balance - in cash.

The beta ends next Tuesday, September 5th at 9am PST and is limited to 1,000 people.

The Skillground Beta, which is free for a limited time, is expanding through this long weekend to include more players and has also added increased options for play, including the ability to practice as well as increased prizes along with a $5 entry fee.

More importantly, The SkillGround Beta is awarding an additional $8000 in prizes to the top 5 players in each of Warpath and LA Street Racing (in addition to the winnings they have in their accounts at the end of the Beta), which includes two $2000 first-place prizes.

SkillGround’s current top ranked player in Warpath has already won over $350. All qualified players will be sent a check for their winnings after the completion of Beta Tuesday September 5th. All players receive $50 SkillGound Dollars in their accounts, that once qualified becomes real money.
