by Rainier on Feb. 8, 2008 @ 1:55 p.m. PST

Left Behind: Eternal Forces will put players in command of the apocalyptic battles raging in the streets of New York City between the angelic Tribulation Forces and the demonic Global Community Peacekeepers during the End of Days. Gamers will participate in events from the Left Behind book series in single player mode and battle to capture territory from other players in the multi-player online game mode.

Left Behind: Eternal Forces, debut from Left Behind Games, takes place in the same End of Days fictional world as the bestselling Left Behind novels. Left Behind: Eternal Forces, a real-time-strategy game, is set in an apocalyptic rendition of New York City. Players can command the Tribulation Forces as they attempt to save people from the Global Community Peacekeepers, commanded by the antichrist. Gamers will participate in events from the Left Behind book series in single player mode and battle to capture territory from other players in the multi-player online game mode.

“This new program will help us to increase our installed base of users to benefit future sales and expand distribution of the world’s only games where prayer is more powerful than guns”, said Troy Lyndon, chief executive officer of Left Behind Games. Lyndon continues, “More and more people continue to communicate how grateful they are that our content presents a healthy alternative in an industry that is getting increasingly more graphically violent. Finally, parents can get their youngster, for FREE, a really good, fun and safe game that encourages positive values.”
