Martin Tremblay has been named President, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, where he will set the long-term direction of the studio’s worldwide interactive entertainment strategy, and oversee publishing, marketing, sales and distribution, licensing and business development of the Studio’s interactive entertainment product.

Martin Tremblay has been named President, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, it was announced today by Kevin Tsujihara, President, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group, to whom he will directly report.

In his new post, Tremblay will set the long-term direction of the studio’s worldwide interactive entertainment strategy. He will oversee publishing, marketing, sales and distribution, licensing and business development of the Studio’s interactive entertainment product. Tremblay will begin work at Warner Bros. in July 2008.

"Martin is a talented, highly respected executive and has solid relationships across the industry," said Tsujihara. "In the past year, our interactive strategy has really come together and we're extremely fortunate to have found someone with Martin’s impressive track record to now lead WBIE."

Tremblay joins WBIE from Vivendi Games, where he served as President Worldwide Studios since 2006. Under his leadership, Vivendi released acclaimed titles such as "Scarface: The World is Yours," "F.E.A.R" on consoles, "World in Conflict," and the "Crash and Spyro" series.

"Warner Bros. has been creating, licensing and publishing some of the best in class interactive entertainment out there today," said Tremblay. "I look forward to working with the team of talented and creative people at WBIE to expand on the great work they are already doing."

Prior to joining Vivendi in 2006, Tremblay had been President and Chief Operating Officer for Ubisoft Montreal. He brought the company from 350 employees to 1500 employees, helping transform Ubisoft into the second largest games development studio in the world. During his tenure, Ubisoft Montreal studios released some of the most established videogames franchises in the industry with "Splinter Cell," "Rainbow Six" and "Prince of Persia."

Tremblay has an MBA from Sherbrooke University, and a B.A.A from Laval University, Quebec with a concentration in finance.
