'Target Toss Pro: Bags' (Wii) Announced

by Rainier on May 6, 2008 @ 5:52 a.m. PDT

coin-operated video games developer Incredible Technologies is putting the final touches on Target Toss Pro: Bags, its first WiiWare title. Bags is a deceptively simple, yet extremely competitive game where players try to toss beanbags into a hole in a raised "box" for points.

BAGS is a deceptively simple, yet extremely competitive game where players try to toss beanbags into a hole in a raised "box" for points. At campus quads, tailgate parties, and summer barbeques, it's become a social focal point. The unmistakable "thud" of bags landing is now a universal party soundtrack.

IT has partnered with console veteran n-Space to bring the party indoors. Using the incredible Wii Remote, the team captured the natural feel of the actual game while delivering all the excitement people expect from a professional sport -- including color commentary, dynamic presentation, and dramatic upsets.

This Wii exclusive version is based on the hit coin-op video game of the same name, with a new control mechanism and new play modes for the home player. It supports 1 to 16 players and offers both BAGS arcade scoring and traditional "cornhole" scoring options.

"We're excited to offer BAGS on the WiiWare system," said Elaine Hodgson, IT president and CEO. "The game is so life-like, both parents and kids will love it."

The motion used to toss a real beanbag is the same used when playing the Wii version.

"You'll think you're throwing an actual beanbag when you use the Wii Remote," says Andy Kniaz, IT's Executive Director. "It's uncanny."

Says Erick S. Dyke, president of n-Space, Inc., "Players can now have a tailgate experience in their living room. We're thrilled with the final product."

It's anticipated that development for BAGS will be complete in early summer.
