Novint Falcon Makes Its Controller Compatible With Eidos Titles

by Rainier on Aug. 18, 2008 @ 2:15 a.m. PDT

Novint Technologies has signed an agreement with Eidos to make several of their titles available for the Novint Falcon game controller. Tomb Raider: Legend, Hitman: Blood Money, 25 to Life, Just Cause, BattleStations: Midway, and Kane & Lynch will all be touch-enabled for the Falcon, allowing players to feel realistic game actions, environments, objects and force feedback.

"These are great action titles that will really be incredible to play with the Falcon. Eidos set the bar with the Tomb Raider and Hitman franchises and we look forward to giving our players the chance to experience them," said Tom Anderson, CEO of Novint.

"The Falcon really takes the whole gaming experience in a totally new direction," said Janet Swallow, Head of Licensing at Eidos. "There is no doubt that consumers will love this technology and Eidos is excited to be able to support it."

Replacing a mouse or joystick, the Novint Falcon ($189.99 MSRP) is an entirely new type of PC controller that adds realistic 3D touch and force effects to gaming. It is available nationwide at Tiger Direct, J&R Music World, Fry's Electronics, GoGamer.com, Amazon.com, CircuitCity.com, CompUSA.com, Walmart.com, and Novint.com. AAA, action, sports and casual Falcon games may be downloaded at novint.com or through N VeNT, Novint's interface to games, updates and community.

Novint expects to release the games later this year.
