Johnny Meyer, the main hero of the game finds himself at an abandoned farm in the desert. He remembers nothing. Why is he here? Why are his hands equipped with a baseball bat? And why are there so many zombies roaming around? He has found a car and a pistol and is heading into his native Snake City. Almost all of the residents of the town have disappeared or escaped. The few that remain have told Johnny that the zombies have established some strange generator that emits yellow fog. Anyone who comes in contact with this fog becomes a zombie …
Pound of Ground, is mix of an action, race, RPG and adventure game. The main character Johnny, who is handsome and an all around stud, finds himself in the desert with his memory totally wiped out. When he finally realizes what the current circumstances are, he begins to understand that his current situation sucks. His home town is crowded with nightmares of the Living Dead.
The appearance of these monsters, which are the result of the experiments of a crazy professor similar to that of Dr. Frankenstein, have put Johnny in a situation where he must a) save the city b) find the missing bride c) defeat thousands of zombies, and d) deal with their creator, the Professor Hoffmann, a scientist who’s consciousness is reasonable only to a certain extent.
