Confirming rumors that surfaced earlier this week, At a press event in Tokyo, Nintendo unveiled a new version of the Nintendo DS, the NDSiLL. Scheduled to launch in Japan next month already (Nov. 21) the new handheld sports a 4.2 inch screen (a 93% increase over the old version), and will retail for ¥20,000 ($220 USD).
The bigger screen was oft requested by customers, allowing the NDSiLL to be used for internet surfing, music playing and will come with two touch pens (a short and a long one), includes three pre-installed DSiWare titles, DS Easy Dictionary, and will be available in three colors (natural white, dark brown, and wine red).
While there is no confirmation yet when the NDSiLL will come to North America, Nintendo Europe confirmed it for Q1 2010.
