'Airborne Rangers' (PS3/X360/PC) Canceled
by Rainier on April 13, 2009 @ 3:12 a.m. PDT
In early 2008, one of Atari's financial results revealed a slew of new titles, one of them being a multiplatform title, Airborne Rangers. According to former Atari/EA producer Ash Monif, who has since moved on to Subatomic Studios, Airborne Rangers was a free-to-play FPS featuring a virtual monetary point system, character & weapon customizations, cross-platform interactivity & mini-games, 3D social space, and progressive in-game fictional timeline (thanks superannuation).
