Set in the years preceding World War I, the Belle Époque, Mata Hari, the game, presents a superb story in a stunning period piece that immerses the player into a full world populated with both real and fictional characters. Notable intriguing personalities, who played played important roles in determining real-life events in the early 20th century include: Anthony Fokker, the famous airplane manufacturer, the wealthy diplomat Emil Jellinek, whose daughter Mercedes became the namesake for Daimler’s prestigious automobile, and Marie Curie, the Nobel laureate scientist whose pioneering work with Radium started a new era in science.
The game’s storyline dares adventure gamers by immersing them into a sexy and fantastic world laden with puzzles and challenging missions. It’s up to the player to choose from several different paths as the game unfolds. As well, depending on their skill and choices, players will experience several different endings. Adventure gamers will enjoy playing spy in a variety of social settings and applying their wits to situations in the realm of espionage by using logic, sabotage, and of course, seduction, to name a few.

Story and game design of Mata Hari will be created by the industry veterans Hal Barwood (“Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis”; LucasArts) and Noah Falstein (u.a. “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade”; Lucas Arts).
