'Combat Mission: Afrika Korps' - v1.04 Demo Available NOW

by Rainier on July 24, 2009 @ 3:12 a.m. PDT

Combat Mission: Afrika Korps is a 1-2 player, hybrid turn-based/realtime 3D simulation of WWII tactical warfare in parts of the Mediterranean Theater including North Africa, Italy, Sicily and Crete from 1940 to 1945.

Get the Combat Mission: Afrika Korps v1.04 Demo off WP (99mb)

The demo gives you a tasty sample of what is to come in the full version. The Demo is multi-language and can install and run in three different languages (English, French and German).

The demo comes with two fully playable scenarios.

  • Frühlingswind, depicts actions at Faid Pass set in Tunisia, February 1943 between the US and Germany.
  • Line of Defense, is a US Armored attack on June 1944 into a small town and key bridge South of Arezzo, Italy held by some staunch German defenders.

Both scenarios are fully multiplayer capable (Hotseat, PBEM and TCP/IP) and trust us, they are a BLAST to play!

Note for people with Anti-Aliasing enabled on their video cards...If you launch the Demo and see that the Scenario List Screen is empty, simply Alt-Tab out and back into the demo. You may want to also disable your Anti-Aliasing.

Battlefront.com announced the immediate availability of a new v1.04 Vista upgrade for Combat Mission Afrika Korps. This upgrade officially adds support for Windows Vista.

Special thanks to Philip Culliton for diving into our ancient code to figure out and fix the various issues introduced with Vista!
