Get the Combat Mission: Shock Force v1.30 Demo off WP (525mb)
This demo is so big, it's almost a whole free game! Including six (!!!) scenarios from Combat Mission Shock Force, the Marines module, the British Forces module and the just released NATO module, as well as multiplayer functionality and even a sneak peek at the editor, this free demo alone offers more gameplay time than the average FPS clone you shell out fifty bucks for these days!
Check out the all new v1.30 features such as (to name but a few):
- Teams and Squads can share ammo with other members of their immediate formation (usually their platoon).
- Area fire orders are immediately canceled when any active member of the firing team/squad enters the target area. This allows for better room-clearing.
- New animations: idle, aiming, and reloading for ATGM gunners, and idle-prone for riflemen.
- All-new Syrian air power: MiG-21, MiG-23, Su-17, Su-21, and Su-25 jets; Mi-24D Hind D and Mi-24P Hind F helicopters; AT-2 Swatter, AT-6 Spiral, AS-7 Kerry, and AS-10 Karen missiles.
- When a support mission is activated, its estimated time of arrival continues to be updated in the Support View as time passes.o Floating icons for units that are not capable of receiving commands (e.g. panicked, destroyed) are partly faded.
- Team weapons that are not deployed, and cannot be fired in that state, show a "Not Deployed" message over the weapon silhouette.
- All BMP and BTR series vehicles have passenger firing ports.
- New sound effects for collapsing buildings and walls.
- Updated TO&E.

DEMO SCENARIO INFO:
- Demo Training, a small training scenario designed to familiarize new players to Combat Mission before engaging in "real" combat. (Blue play only)
- UK Out of the Wilderness: A mixed Mech Inf, Recce, and tank force fights to secure ground in preparation of a major attack.
- Smashing Steel: A Syrian mechanized force heads south as an American Stryker and tank force heads north. (Battle begins before dawn in the dark, but as time pro gresses and the sun rises, visibility and lighting will increase)
- Going to Town: Stryker infantry mix it up with the Syrian forces as they enter a small town.
- USMC Going to Town: Marines combined arms force fights it out with a Syrian force in a small town. The battlefield is the same as the Stryker based Going to Town scenario in order to highlight the differences between the units in each.
- NATO Die Festung: A German battlegroup assaults a Syrian defensive position centered on an ancient medieval fortress.
You can change between the available languages from within the Options panel however we have only included scenarios for English. If you select any other language you will have to copy the scenarios files from inside the "Game Files\Scenarios" folder and place them into the appropriately named Scenario folder for your selected language.
If you make a change to the language setting, be sure and immediately exit the game and then reload in order for the game to properly prepare the language setting and files.
Combat Mission Shock Force NATO will feature 3 new armies and additional units to the Syrian side. This means a lot of new vehicles and weapons. Not to mention air support for the Syrian army too. There are also 3 campaigns for the Dutch, Canadians and Germans. In total 36 unique missions!
While in the previous modules we had 18 missions in a campaign here you get twice that much. We are not counting the variants either. Some missions have 2 variants, some have 4! The German campaign alone has 25 scenarios! There are also 25 stand alone missions. They are very different from one another in size and force mix.
Also the terrain and settings are varied. Among the standalones we have 6 H2H maps. 3 are metting engagements and 3 attack type scenarios, specifically designed to be played against another human opponent, so that both sides have balanced forces and objectives. PBEM/TCP players will sure be happy with that. Also included in the module are 50 new maps for the Quick Battles system. That puts the total of QB maps at 275. The total of scenarios, including the ones in the campaigns, is 61 (not counting variants)!!!! It is an umprecedented amount of content in a single module or game! That should keep players busy and happy for some time!
All three countries in the module share similar armaments, such the powerful Leopard 2 MBT, but also field vehicles, weapons and variants that make them unique. Germany: Marder IFV, Wiesel and G36 rifle. Canada: LAV3, Bison, Nyala, Leopard C2, unique variants of the Leopard 2 MBT such as Leopard 2A4+ and Leopard 2A6M. Netherlands: CV90-35, the iconic YPR-765 and the mighty Gil(Spike-MR) missile system. Add to this their own unique organization and formations, realistically depicted in the module.
Play with them on their own or as part of a multi-national joint task force using any of CMSF's other units. Included in the package are a number of new scenarios and three (!) new campaigns for exciting play right out of the box. You can also use the powerful editor to create your own scenarios and share them with other Shock Force players. New voices, sound effects, and game features round out the game experience.
