In the finale to one of gaming’s most recognizable sagas, Epic has added four player cooperative campaign gameplay, allowing them to bring characters from the extended “Gears” universe to life.
In order to avoid a disastrous multiplayer launch experience like Gears of War 2, Epic confirmed today that it will release a multiplayer beta early 2011, in order to optimize the online experience. Executive producer Rod Fergusson stated that the recent retail delay announcement gives the developer the extra time needed to polish the game and also revealed that Epic is testing dedicated servers for ranked matches and social matchmaking in order to give fans the best possible multiplayer experience.
