Conquest: HD places players in the heat of battle, on two opposing sides. The mighty Roman invading forces, and the barbaric Celtic hordes from the northlands. The game will feature a number of multiplayer maps, various unlocks and titles, and various types of combat and objective gameplay.

The game is based on some events and historical facts from that period. However there have been some changes to allow for a more enjoyable gaming experience.

The game features two teams, which battle it out over the many included battlefields. Each team has a number of combat classes. Which keeps the gameplay fresh throughout.

The game follows the story of the division of Britannia (now known as England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland, or collectively as the United Kingdom). The Roman Emperor Hadrian ordered the construction of a large wall, to protect the roman settlers in the south from the 'barbaric' raiders in the north.

Truth be told, the Romans are actually the invading force in this story. The native Britons, (also known as the Celts) once lived in tribal collections across the islands. However the Roman Invasion left much of the islands in the Roman's control. The Celts moved towards the north, and began planning their next moves.

Conquest is an Indie (or independent) game project, and it is being developed by the team of Crystal Core. A predominantly UK based game development team, who work via the internet. Some members are located in other countries, such as the United States, Canada, and Mainland Europe.

The Romans

The Roman Empire was one of the largest, most powerful and longest standing empires in history. During the Conquest timeline the Roman forces have invaded Britannia and control the entire southern half of the island. The great "Hadrian's Wall" is under construction as ordered, and many legions have been sent north to keep the Celts at bay.

The Roman forces use the latest equipment available, and use a great amount of warfare tactics and order to ensure victory on the battlefield.

The Celts

The Celts, (otherwise known as "Britons") are the native people of Britannia. The Celts are a tribal civilisation. Therefore many years before the Romans invaded, the Celts would war between themselves. However many of the tribes have attempted to unite for the common interest of returning control of the island to them.

The Celts use less advanced weaponry. However they are masters of stealth and scare tactics. It is often known that the Roman forces would flee the battlefield, just due to the vicious charge from the Celts. The Celts also possess the increased ability to sneak, allowing many surprise ambush situations to be planned.
