The Humble Indie Bundle #2 Exceeds $1 Million Sales, Now Also On Steam

by Rainier on Dec. 20, 2010 @ 5:59 p.m. PST

Earlier this year five independent game developers joined forces and created a bundle of games, and they are doing it again. The Humble Indie Bundle #2 consists of: Braid, Machinarium, Osmos, Revenge of the Titans and Cortex Command, and to top it off you can pay whatever you want.

All those who have previously purchased Humble Indie Bundle 2 will find a Steam key redemption button at the top of their download page. Right now, your HIB2 Steam key will instantly activate Braid, Osmos and Machinarium. Once Revenge of the Titans and Cortex Command make their official debut on Steam, they will automatically be added to your library as well.

The devs have a few hundred thousand Steam keys so they probably have enough to cover the whole promotion, but just in case, you might want to buy the bundle now. If they run out of keys, there's no guarantee that we will be able to get more.

ModDB have launched their distribution platform Desura, so along with your Steam key, you'll find a code on your game download page that allows you to activate your bundle on Desura. Right now Desura is Windows-only but it should be another awesome way for many bundlers to keep track of their games.

The Humble Indie Bundle #2

Pay what you want. If you bought these five games separately, it would cost around $85 but we're letting you set the price!

All of the games work great on Mac, Windows, and Linux.

The games don't use DRM. When you buy these games, they are yours. Feel free to play them without an internet connection, back them up, and install them on all of your Macs and PCs freely. There is no time-limit on your downloads.

You can support charity. Choose exactly how your purchase money is divided: Between the game developers, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, or the Child's Play Charity. Also, if you like this deal, a tip to the Humble Bundle itself would be much appreciated!

How much is this bundle worth to people? Let's take a quick look.

Please note, Cortex Command and Revenge of the Titans are still under active development. You are eligible for all future updates! The bundle makes a great holiday gift that will keep improving over time.
