Kick-Ass is a fully 3D action fighting game set in the third-person perspective, where the player can play and control modern day super heroes based on the super characters found in the film of the same name. Gamers will be able to play as the three primary characters in the film - Kick-Ass, Hit Girl, and Big Daddy. The story-driven game draws heavily from the strengths of the intellectual property; an action combat game where the characters finally grow sick of the crime around them, and decide that they will do something about it.
Featuring multiple environments within New York City, players will be faced with eight story missions and encounter frantic super hero action as they face petty thugs and powerful mob bosses. Players will also have a blast with sub-missions and mini-games, to add even more gameplay to the mix. Staying true to the intellectual property, the game will feature visceral combat and plenty of gore, as the player's main goal is to bring justice back to the city, no matter what the cost!
Featuring multiplayer local co-op gameplay, Kick-Ass brings an unsurpassed integration of Facebook and Twitter to the PSN Network. Many of the Kick-Ass missions are given via friend requests from the FACESPACE social networking site.
The original score, composed by award-winning composer William Kevin Anderson, ties in superbly to the action-packed excitement generated by the movement of the game's players and surroundings. Edgy hip hop rhythms combined with metal guitars produce the perfect compliment to the fast-paced cinematic qualities of the game. Featuring mixes of musical genres, the lush orchestral sounds boast a wonderfully powerful symphonic sound giving the game layers and an added depth of fun.
"It was terrific fun working with WHA Entertainment, and Kick-Ass looks awesome and sounds equally astounding," said Anderson of Anderson Scores. My goal was to convey a robust sense of atmosphere and have the player engaged with the timing and sequencing of the fight scenes."
"We knew Anderson Scores had done previous sound tracks for other games and could get a number of highly intensive tracks laid down in a tight time frame. They did indeed deliver for us, and we are thrilled with the music scores," said Howard Horowitz, Founder and CEO of WHA Entertainment, Inc.
