3D engine provider Emergent Game Technologies announced a licensing deal with Korean-based developer SmileGate, known for Cross Fire, for use of its Gamebryo for an in-development PC title.

SmileGate is well known for its previous PC titles Cross Fire and Sephiroth. Cross Fire, a popular first person shooter MMO game for the PC, is available for download in seven countries including China, Korea, and the United States. Most notably Cross Fire brought 1.8 Million users online simultaneously from China breaking the previous record for domestic First Person Shooters.

Emergent’s development engines, Gamebryo and Gamebryo LightSpeed, empower developers to create their single-player, online and multi-player games in any genre and continues Emergent’s dedication to providing a one-stop cross-platform toolset for PlayStation®3 system, Xbox®360, Wii™ and PC.
