MumboJumbo Unveils Upcoming Titles

MumboJumbo unveiled its upcoming retail lineup, with titles launching at Wal-Mart, Best Buy and Target, the casual game company is filling the retail channel with premium content that ranges from $4.99 to $19.99.

The innovative MumboJumbo 6 Pack, which contains The Secret of Margrave Manor, Samantha Swift and the Hidden Roses of Athena, Nancy Drew and the Secret of the Scarlet Hand, Slingo Quest Hawaii, LUXOR MahJong and 7 Wonders II, leads the way with retailers this quarter. The six-game pack will be available at Wal-Mart and Best Buy for $19.99.

“We continue to work with our retail partners to find new ways to market and sell premium casual games,” said Mark Cottam, CEO of MumboJumbo. “The 6 Pack is a great example of the value we are offering to our customers, while providing them with a really entertaining experience.”

In addition to the value of the MumboJumbo 6 Pack, Poker Superstars Texas Hold-em: All In!, a Texas Hold-em two-game bundle, and 7 Wonders Trilogy, three Match 3 games in one, will debut at Wal-Mart at the $9.99 price-point. These multi-game packs will offer players hours of entertainment for a low price.

Additionally, retailers are stocking Midnight Mysteries: The Salem Witch Trials next week. The hit PC game unravels the secrets behind the death of Nathaniel Hawthorne and investigates the Salem Witch Trials. The Collector’s Edition, available at retailers nationwide, includes a fully-illustrated, detailed strategy guide, two special Easter Egg levels, an exclusive Silver Dollar hunt, and additional materials that give players a sneak peek into the making of the adventure game. This premium content is priced at $19.99, and has been a Top 10 hit with online portals since its debut this June. Midnight Mysteries: Salem Witch Trials is rated E-10+ with descriptors for Mild Blood, Mild Language, Mild Suggestive Themes and Violent References.

Joining the premium line up is HOTEL, a spooky adventure game that follows a detective on her search to uncover paranormal activity in an ancient French castle. The game follows in the footsteps of Legend of Crystal Valley from developers Cateia Games. The point-and-click adventure game has received high marks for both story and graphic quality. HOTEL is rated E-10+ with descriptors for Alcohol Reference, Violence and Language.

Samantha Swift and the Hidden Roses of Athena for the Nintendo DS system also will be available at retailers nationwide at the end of the month. This hidden-object adventure game follows spunky archaeologist Samantha Swift as she travels the globe in search of hidden artifacts. The title will retail for $19.99 and is rated E with descriptors for Comic Mischief.

“Samantha Swift fans have been asking for more, and we’re excited to bring her first adventure to the NDS,” said Cottam. “We’re currently working on her next adventure, which will explore the fountain of youth and will debut later this summer on both the PC and Apple’s iPad.”

Next up for the Dallas-based developer, a number of Nintendo DS titles will launch during the third quarter, including Midnight Mysteries: The Edgar Allan Poe Conspiracy and 7 Wonders II.
