Aeria Games Opens Brazil Office

Free-to-play game publisher Aeria Games & Entertainment is making inroads in Latin America  by opening the door of its office in Sao Paulo, Brazil, which will produce and localize new games and expanding marketing throughout Latin America.

"Aeria's dedication to gamers in emerging markets has become a top priority for our company," said Paulo Fernandes, COO for Aeria Games in Latin America. "In the last six months alone, we've seen the release of Spanish-language versions of some of our most popular titles, and Portuguese-language versions have started and will continue to launch. Latin American gamers have become an essential part of the Aeria Games community, and we want to make sure they're getting the best experience possible."

Punctuating this expansion is Aeria's recent release of the Portuguese version of the popular massively multi-player online (MMO) game Shaiya and the upcoming Portuguese version of the MMO Grand Fantasia. These titles kick off Aeria's initiative of hiring Brazilian gamers to provide localization and product support for Latin America, which is just the start of Aeria's Portuguese lineup.

"Aeria Games strives to be the world's premier destination for online entertainment," said J.T. Nguyen, COO of Aeria Games Worldwide. "Expanding is a goal that's not obtainable without the backing of a great community and support. Latin America is an important growth market for us; we knew that having an office in Brazil that stays true to the cultural background and language standards of gamers there would be the greatest benefit to our community we could offer."

Over the coming months, Aeria Games will expand payment methods for microtransactions in Brazil, offering secure options for Latin American players.
