“It´s our ambition to create an experience that has the elegant simplicity of old adventure games, where the most important ingredient is rhythm found not only in the relation between story and visuals but also in the way the game plays,” said Jakob Tuchten, creative director, Might and Delight. “We’re building a refreshing experience that pays homage to the days of classic platform games while bringing something completely new to the global gaming marketplace.”
Players hone their gaming abilities through creative approaches to gravity bending action, intricate puzzle-solving and classic precision platform action, overcoming larger-than-life obstacles and surprisingly original enemy characters. Throughout the course of the adventures in Pid, players will be challenged to outwit a variety of quirky robots and befriend unlikely allies on their quest to face-off against a ruler that has no intention of letting anyone leave the planet.
“I was fortunate enough to work with this talented team on Bionic Commando: Rearmed, a remake of a classic 8-bit game that ended up with higher review scores than the original game,” said Adam Boyes, president, Beefy Media. “It’s rare that you find a team as gifted as Might and Delight that has both an incredible eye for aesthetics and deep commitment to the feel of gameplay. I’m not sure what Sweden has in its water, but I think they should bottle and sell it to the rest of the games industry."
‘Might and Delight’ was formed in early 2010. The core team has worked on various high profile titles such as Mirror’s Edge, Battlefield, and Killzone, but most notably together on Capcom’s “Bionic Commando: Rearmed.” Might and Delight have an established strong foundation that enables the team to create innovative games with a focus on value, entertainment and integrity. Might and Delight consists of both industry-veterans and indie developers with a shared ambition to always prioritize playfulness and innovative ideas over established norms.
