Pilots will be trained to command a variety of helicopters deployed on more than 20 different missions ranging from captured military prisoner extraction to saving survivors of viral outbreaks. Pilots must bank, hover and touch-down in perilous conditions in order to make their rescue and complete their mission. Developed and published by inXile Entertainment, Choplifter HD dares players to risk their lives in order to save others.
The team at inXile also announced that it has tapped Choplifter franchise creator Dan Gorlin as a design consultant for the project.
"It has been great for the design team to have Dan on board for Choplifter HD," said Brian Fargo, president, inXile Entertainment. "He has added valuable touches, including ways to connect the pilot to the rescued hostages in a meaningful way, which have helped us create a really rich Choplifter experience for players."
"I am thrilled to be a part of creating a Choplifter experience for the 21st Century," said Dan Gorlin, Choplifter franchise creator. "The team at inXile is passionate about the game and it shows in every detail. Choplifter HD looks to be the best Choplifter yet."
