Nitrozen has already spent over two and a half years working on “L.A.W”. “Our new action MMOG has been developed by an experienced team of developers with impressive references”, explains Markus Büchtmann, Head of Games at ProSiebenSat.1 Digital. “We are convinced that the successful mix of classic MMOG elements, spiced up with groundbreaking new features is the perfect extension of our free-to-play games portfolio aimed at core gamers. We will be integrating L.A.W into alaplaya.net and giving it extra impetus with the coverage offered by SevenGames”.
Two hundred years later, they return in order to rescue those they left behind and to rebuild civilisation. However, back on Earth they are confronted with the “Nak”, genetically mutated descendants of humans in close harmony with nature.
The game play in the post-nuclear game world of “L.A.W” combines classic MMO elements such as extensive skill sets, guild system, instance dungeons and user interface (UI) with real-time strategy features in PvP (player versus player) mode. In the constant struggle for control of resources which is at the very heart of the epic story line in “L.A.W”, smaller player groups can also emerge victorious from the battles by engaging in tactically clever moves. In the game, players can easily see themselves in control of vehicles such as powerful tanks or versatile helicopters, travelling over the battlefields of a desolate planet Earth. Furthermore, the entire economy in “L.A.W” is built on supply and demand from the players. The resources market therefore is no different from everyday trading on the stock exchange.
