If you were in line for the midnight launch of Black Ops II and managed to get your hands on a PC version of the game and were unable to install the entire game, rest assured, you were not alone.
Various fans have reported that they were unable to install, let alone play, the PC version of Black Ops II due to the fact that the 2nd CD required to complete the installation has nothing to do with the game, but was instead a disc from Mass Effect 2.
While the disc itself was fully printed/labeled as a Black Ops 2 CD, so the mix-up most likely happened at the duplication factory prior to shipping to stores.On a bright note, Bioware is "answering the call" by offering affected players a chance to play an actual game, and is offering the first fifty fans affected by this phenomenon to send them a picture holding their special disc 2 will receive a code for a FREE PC copy of Mass Effect Trilogy.
