'Batman: Arkham City' (ALL) Harley Quinn’s Revenge Pack - Screens

by Rainier on May 11, 2012 @ 5:35 p.m. PDT

In Batman: Arkham Asylum the player assumes the role of Batman as he delivers The Joker to Arkham Asylum. There, the imprisoned super-villains have set a trap and an immersive combat gaming experience unfolds. With an original script penned by Emmy Award-winning Batman writer Paul Dini, the game brings the universe of DC Comics’ detective to life with stunning graphics.

Set inside the heavily fortified walls of a sprawling district in the heart of Gotham City, this sequel introduces a brand-new story that draws together a new, all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains from the Batman universe, as well as a vast range of new and enhanced gameplay features to deliver the ultimate experience as the Dark Knight.

When night falls on Gotham and the seedy undergrowth of the city emerges, Batman is there waiting. Ever vigilant, the Dark Knight monitors the city he protects from high above the gritty streets. No one knows his deepest secret — except Dr. Hugo Strange. With Gotham's criminally insane, vile villains and insidious characters confined within the walls of Arkham City, Batman must fight to ensure his true identity remains hidden from the citizens he vows to protect. The Dark Knight returns to Gotham in the follow-up to Arkham Asylum in Batman: Arkham City. Explore this all-new world that spans five times larger than the Asylum using a variety of new and enhanced gameplay features. Glide, soar and grapple through the City as you engage in hand-to-hand combat against enemies or take advantage of Batman's trademark stealth maneuvers. Interact with an infamous cast of classic characters, including Dr. Hugo Strange, who knows the deep, dark secret of the Caped Crusader.

As Catwoman, players will have a chance to indulge in their darker side and explore Arkham City as the infamous feline femme fatale.  Complete with her own storyline in the main game, Catwoman’s adventure complements Batman’s central role and is seamlessly interwoven with his main story arc.  She will also be playable in the challenge maps with her own unique combat moves, gadgetry and signature 'takedowns'.

Payback’s a bitch, especially when dealing with The Joker’s most psychotic sidekick, Harley Quinn.  Harley is the new boss of Arkham City and is determined to make Batman pay for what he’s done to The Joker.

Harley Quinn’s Revenge Pack, the final chapter of Batman: Arkham City saga that adds more than two hours of fresh single-player gameplay to the critically-acclaimed title from Rocksteady Studios.  The Harley Quinn’s Revenge mission sends players back into Arkham City to face their final challenge as they interchange between playing as both Batman and Robin.

Fans who already own the original edition of Batman: Arkham City will be able to download Harley Quinn’s Revenge Pack beginning May 30th on PlayStation Network £7.99 and the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for Xbox 360 (800 Microsoft Points).  Newcomers to last year’s Dark Knight adventure will be able to pick up Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition on September 7th in the UK, which includes all previous downloadable content (Catwoman Pack, Nightwing Bundle Pack, Robin Bundle Pack, Challenge Map Pack and Arkham City Skins Pack) plus Harley Quinn’s Revenge Pack.
