Rayman Legends retains the fantasy appeal of its predecessor while adding a multitude of clever and entertaining gaming modes, new characters, new environments and a new soundtrack. The game features a variety of uniquely-themed levels, including several musical maps set to creative soundtracks and a spooky, medieval theme. Players also can connect online with friends for a variety of challenges that test their skill and speed, and can see where they rank on the worldwide leaderboards.
Early February Ubisoft announced that Rayman Legends was coming to PS3 and X360, but much to the dismay of WiiU owners that resulted in the game being delayed for several months. Fans have been in uproar and the Rayman Legend developers took notice promising a new version of the WiiU demo.
The challenge mode for Rayman Legends will be accessible through the game's main hub, and will offer a series of daily and weekly generated challenges (each with it's own leaderboard) taking place in five different settings (The Pit, Land of The Dead, Infernal Tower, The Dojo, and the touch screen focussed Dungeon) featuring unique gameplay styles. All of the challenges are playable alone or with a total of five players. A history saves all your performances and if you want to prove a old record time so you can race against a ghost to see how you did on your previous run.
The free challenge mode demo for Rayman Legends will be available April 25, 2013 on the eShop.
