MotorGun, formerly known as Autoduel, pays homage to epic car combat games of the past such as Interstate '76 and Twisted Metal – while offering gamers the chance to see what can be accomplished when a talented team of industry veterans and luminaries are unleashed on this beloved genre. Assemble your team and drive into battle. Full of high-octane thrills and spills of team-based car combat with RPG-influenced persistence and progression gameplay, MotorGun promises to take the genre to the next level with plans for a wide variety of vehicles, multiplayer modes, customization options, and an in-depth tech tree – all set in a gritty, post-apocalyptic world where gasoline, guns, and your skill behind the wheel rule the day.
MotorGun puts you in control of a deep set of customization elements - from paint to payload, it's all up to you. As you play you'll advance and be exposed to an ever-deepening set of vehicle tech-trees, blowers, turbos and sway bars - heat seekers, miniguns and rocket pods. Try you hand in multiplayer combat in the wasteland. To the victor goes the spoils. It's the culmination of over two decades of car combat video game pedigrees and it's commin' at you at wide open throttle.
Pixelbionic has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the development of MotorGun and is looking for $650,000, with several stretch goals unlocking when that target is achieved.
Joining the high profile cast of developers which includes Twisted Metal and God of War creator David Jaffe and Interstate '76 creator Zack Norman, is Gears of War and Unreal Tournament designer Lee Perry. In his role, Perry will contribute to the creative direction of MotorGun as designer of an exclusive battlefield arena as part of the project's stretch goals.
Perry is the latest addition to Pixelbionic's development Dream Team, assembled by co-founders Maxx Kaufman – a founding member of inXile Entertainment and Art Director of Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Redneck Rampage series and Kingpin Life of Crime; and Mike Arkin – a Studio Head and Producer with over 150 published titles, including Die Hard Trilogy, Battlezone and the Tokyo Xtreme Racer series. Pixelbionic co-leads Kaufman and Arkin officially announced the company and MotorGun (then known as Autoduel)project earlier this year after collaborating and developing their vision for creating a new indie studio that would deliver on the needs of an audience looking for high quality, indie games that are action packed, creative and immersive.
Other key members on the MotorGun team include designer Scot Kramarich – Lead Designer on Interstate '82 and Designer on Interstate '76 – and coder Rafael Paiz – Senior Programmer on The Matrix: Path of Neo and Lead Programmer on Redneck Rampage and Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Joining Zack Norman and David Jaffe on the Pixelbionic advisory board is Chanel Summers – a recognized leader in the field of interactive audio who while at Microsoft was instrumental in the design of the Xbox hardware's audio capabilities.

In a post-apocalyptic future, warriors drive to survive in their tricked out, heavily armed vehicles scavenged from the blistered landscape and equipped with a deadly array of lethal weaponry.
Get behind the wheel of more than twenty unique vehicles which are divided into three warring factions - the Ratters, the Scavengers and the Techies.
MotorGun features team-based goal-oriented combat in a variety of open battlegrounds from abandoned cities to dried-up riverbeds. Assemble your team, choose your tactics, select a vehicle from your roster and dive into battle in adrenaline-pumping game play modes including Convoy, Capture the Flag and Salvage.
Victory has its rewards – gain experience and scrap metal in order to unlock access to upgrades, customization and new more powerful machines.
The cars can receive a wide variety of upgrades as you progress along an extensive tech tree – from performance modifications to the drivetrain and suspension – to a broad array of powerful weapons, protective armor and countermeasures which can be bolted-on to build uniquely equipped vehicles.
Strip the armor from your vehicle and drop in a more powerful engine to make it light and fast but also fragile, load it up with heavy artillery but sacrifice speed and maneuverability, or bolt-on a dozer plow and thick armor plating to make a formidable rammer – the choice is yours.
You can also customize the paintwork and add decals in order to show your team allegiance and express your unique style.
Due to the deep customization system, every car in MotorGun will be unique!
