Killer Is Dead is a futuristic action game revolving around Execution Office agent Mondo Zappa. Loaded with cybernetic implants you are charged with tracking down and terminating criminal targets, the main antagonist being a cyborg named Victor, who has the ability to manipulate human emotions by using sound.

Killer Is Dead is set in a not-so-distant future similar to (but not the same as) the world we know now. The player takes control of an executioner named Mondo Zappa who wields a Japanese sword in his right hand and brandishes interchangeable weapons in his left artificial arm. His ultimate goal is to execute various heinous criminals scattered around the world and beyond.

Completely unique visuals and outstanding stylish action come together to deliver an unprecedented gaming experience in Killer Is Dead. This brand-new action title is being jointly developed by Kadokawa Games and Grasshopper Manufacture, with SUDA51 lending his trademark sense of style at the helm.

All initial launch copies of the game will come packaged with an 80-page hardcover art book, a soundtrack CD containing 25 songs, and the ‘Smooth Operator’ DLC pack containing bonus in-game goods ‘Gigolo Glasses,’ an alternate costume for Vivienne and Mika, a bonus ‘Gigolo Mission’ with Betty, and an entire additional episode with the vampiric Sebastian.

“We are looking forward to the upcoming release of Killer Is Dead with a special art book, soundtrack CD and bonus DLC,” said Shinichi Suzuki, President of XSEED Games / Marvelous USA, Inc. “Fans have been very supportive, which we’re extremely grateful for, so everyone who has pre-ordered the game or buys it at launch will get a deluxe version for no extra charge.”
