'Doom & Destiny Advanced' Announced, Seeks Crowd Funding - Screens & Trailer

Doom & Destiny Advanced is an old-school 2D adventure in which you control the destiny and the doom of these colorful, funny characters as you navigate them through an unpredictable fantasy world.

Doom & Destiny Advanced is a new multi-platform take on our first installment, Doom & Destiny, which had over a million downloads from people who fell in love with it.

Doom & Destiny Advanced is an original and fun 2D adventure video game that combines comedy and fantasy – two worlds that mesh perfectly. The game is filled with nostalgic pixel graphics and nods to retro games and pop culture. It builds on strong Doom & Destiny characters and action, and adds new features and a huge new map.

As you journey through the game, you’ll find new quests and references to famous video games and characters throughout the game – see if you can spot them all. You’ll also come across new characters to help you through the storyline.

HeartBit Interactive has launched a crowd funding campaign, looking for 20,000€ (approx $25,000USD), to finish development of Doom & Destiny Advanced.

“In the works for a few years, we’re thrilled about the opportunity to partner with contributors to deliver Doom & Destiny Advanced, part of the interactive game franchise played worldwide,” said Francesco Ficarelli, co-founder of HeartBit Interactive.  “The newest game features an innovative ‘SAVE’ system that perfectly blends both console and mobile gameplay into a seamless gaming experience across different platforms.  And, with this unique feature, progress is saved to the Cloud so users can play on laptops, sync saves to a smartphone or tablet, and keep playing from where they left off!”

In Doom & Destiny Advanced you’ll lead a team of four nerds through new worlds, solve puzzles and mazes, collect treasures to build your team and battle hordes of monsters to gain skills. But that’s just the beginning. You can customize each member of your team with more than 30 battle roles, each with different styles and abilities. Each battle role has more than 20 special powers, giving you access to nearly 800 special powers.

Doom & Destiny Advanced lets you craft your own dungeons, fill them with monsters and treasure and challenge other players around the world to tackle them. You can also challenge other players to battle in online arenas, borrow characters from your friends to follow you and lend characters to earn special rewards. If you’re feeling ruthless, you can even send villainous marauders to attack online friends and steal their loot.

Unlike many games, Doom & Destiny Advanced gives players console- and mobile-like game elements that make the game much more exciting and fun.  Players will enjoy the strong narrative that drives the story and deep gameplay following the “easy-to-learn and hard-to-master” paradigm, along with mobile game elements such as free-to-play and no-pay-to-win, the automation of trivial choices and repetitive tasks and unique one-finger touch controls.

Doom & Destiny Advanced appeals to single players and multiplayer enthusiasts alike.  The game features unique game mechanics that mix single player campaign with multiplayer cooperative and competitive gameplay.  Players will enjoy controlling a party of four nerds and explore dungeons, wastelands and cities, collecting treasures, resources and gear to beef up their team, battle hordes of monsters to level up the party of heroes and customizing their characters’ skill with 30+ battle roles that grant different combat styles and special abilities.

Doom & Destiny Advanced is scheduled for Android, Windows Phone, Windows 8 (for tablets), PC/Mac, and Linux.  If HeartBit Interactive doubles its funding goal, PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game will also be produced.
