'Borderlands 2' (ALL) Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre DLC Coming Soon - Screens

by Rainier on Feb. 6, 2014 @ 4:20 a.m. PST

Borderlands 2 is the ultimate 4-player role-playing shooter loot fest, featuring all new characters, skills, environments, enemies, weapons and equipment, which come together in an ambitiously crafted story.

Living up to the mantra “bigger, better and more badass,” Borderlands 2 features all-new characters; skills; imaginative, diverse new environments with unique missions and enemies; and more exciting and fun weapons, equipment and loot than ever before. All of these features come together in a story that takes players to the world of Pandora to take down the notorious Handsome Jack and his corrupt Hyperion Corporation as a solo campaign or with up to four cooperative players.

Borderlands 2 will allow friends to play together locally via split-screen, as well as online with drop-in-drop-out capabilities. With seamless cooperative gameplay and action, Borderlands 2 is extremely accessible for gamers and their friends to play alone or together in a variety of configurations.

Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre was inspired by one of our favorite holidays and is full of love and cuddles, but with a Borderlands twist. This add-on features the return of Innuendo Bot 5000 and its creator, Mad Moxxi, as they try to bring two rival clans together with the help of the Vault Hunters. They think love and understanding will bring peace to the clans, but as you know, things don’t always work out the way you’d hope on Pandora – especially when it involves the Hodunks and the Zafords.  Ellie also makes an appearance and tries to help out too, but she isn’t very keen on keeping things civil.

Fret not, though – you can at least bring joy to a couple of new robot characters in love with each other. When you first encounter these characters, you’ll have to work to bring them together because they can’t muster up the courage to confess their love on their own. During all this match-making, you’ll have to keep an eye out for Threshers, especially the ones that live in The Rainbrew Room as they may be swimming in… let’s just call it “the left-over distillery products”.

Like all of the previous Headhunter add-ons, once you beat the final enemy, you’ll get a new head and skin for each character class. This time the heads are a little more graphic. With these new heads, you’ll also get an inside look at the Vault Hunters, especially Zer0… though it should be said that his new head is named “N0t C4n0n” for a reason.

Borderlands 2 Headhunter will be available on February 11, 2014 for just USD $2.99/GBP £2.39/EUR 2,99 € on PC and Mac via Steam, Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network!
