The story takes place one year after the events of The Book of Unwritten Tales. Our four playable characters, Wilbur the gnome mage, elven princess Ivo, adventurer Nate and his companion, the critter, all have their own problems to deal with. But then a new threat appears and the four work together to save the world of Aventasia once more.
Players will play each of our heroes individually but there are also times where two or even three characters are being played simultaneously, in order to solve some of the riddles & quests. The game features the city of Seastone and many new locations, like flying pirate cities, sunken desert-temples, the elven palace, the Seastone underground and many more.
KING Art Games has decided to add some additional finishing touches to The Book of Unwritten Tales 2. The fifth and final chapter (i.e. the full game) is now set to release on February 20th for PC, Mac, and Linux.
As a special bonus, the game is also available in a DRM-free Almanac Edition, an exclusive edition whose packaging is modelled like a hardcover book. This includes a 104-page hardback artbook, making-of DVD, the orchestral soundtrack on CD, a double-sided poster and the exclusive in-game content “Color Your Critter” in which you can color Nate’s popular sidekick in-game in your favorite color!
