In Chronicle: RuneScape Legends, players build their own card-based adventures as they quest towards an ultimate showdown against a world of rivals.
Set within the pages of a magical book where the world of Gielinor unfolds before your eyes, Chronicle: RuneScape Legends offers a unique strategic twist on card games. Craft your quest with a deck of cards, battle enemies for gold and bonuses, and then face the final challenge of player vs. player combat.
Jagex Games Studio is now accepting registrations for a closed beta of its upcoming online strategy card game, Chronicle: RuneScape Legends. The beta, the next phase of the game’s development, will begin next month. The announcement was made by the game’s lead designer, Jim Sweatman, at RuneFest, the annual fan convention for the RuneScape franchise. Anyone interested in crafting their own strategy RPG experience and engaging in heroic player versus player combat, can register for an opportunity to become an integral part of the game’s ongoing development.
“Since Chronicle’s inception we’ve been committed to iterative, agile development. Now, as we prepare for Chronicle entering closed beta next month, we’re incredibly excited to open the game up to more RuneScape fans and those looking for something new to join us in creating something special,” said Jim Sweatman. “In taking the game to the next stage, and welcoming input from a much wider audience, we believe we can create a surprising and genuinely unique experience for all gamers.”
In addition to this core mechanic, players can also expect:
- ‘Pick up and play’ combo gameplay
- Hundreds of unique cards
