'Swords & Soldiers II' (WiiU) Gets Release Date

by Rainier on April 2, 2015 @ 2:32 p.m. PDT

Swords & Soldiers II sends Redbeard and his gang of burly Vikings on an all-new side-scrolling strategy adventure.

Sharpen your axe, grab a tankard o' mead, and light up the barbecue!

Swords & Soldiers II follows the Viking chieftain Redbeard on an adventure that takes him across the globe (from the snowy peaks of Redbeard's homeland to the Netherworld and the even more demonic party island Barbeardos), and pits him against the all-new Demon Horde and Persian Army factions. The world needs some serious savin', and it looks like the meatloving Redbeard and his local Kebab salesman Al'Yucaneet have an important part to play in events to come. Aside from the extensive campaign, players will be able to face off against their friends in the local multiplayer mode.

He'll be making new friends but also facing new enemies. This isn't just about who can organize the best barbecue party anymore – this time the world needs some serious saving!

Players will again be able to take control of the powerful Vikings and their array of devastating spells. For the sequel your army has been reworked and strengthened by new units and spells. You will need it however, as you're facing a new threat in the form of Demons roaming their lands. These Demons don't seem to care about anything but destruction, throwing everything they have into every encounter. Even their own lives don't appear to be very important to them, as some of them hurl themselves towards the enemy running on explosives. Literally.
