Rendered in beautiful, haunting 3D, House of Caravan takes place in a single mansion in Candlewood, northeast USA, in the early 20th Century. Stepping into the role of Lester Barnard, a young boy captured by strangers on his way to school, you’ll be tasked with exploring the house, uncovering clues as to your kidnapping. Throughout the course of the night, you will have to carefully investigate your surroundings while attempting to find a way out.
But in this apparently deserted mansion, something doesn’t feel quite right.
House of Caravan is littered with lore and puzzles that, under the right scrutiny, may reveal the sinister history of the Caravan family, and Lester's role within Rosebud Games' fictional early 20th Century town of Candlewood.
This isn't a story of guts and glory, but rather a twisted tale that creeps up your spine and chills the blood in your veins.
"We're really excited to finally be releasing House of Caravan," said the game's creator, Toni Sanchez. "We wanted to create a short horror game with a classic feel, inspired by Gothic horror and the works of Edgar Allan Poe, but also by the innovative ways in which games are now delivering their stories. We can't wait to see what people think!"
House of Caravan will release for PC and Mac via Steam with a 25% discount for launch week ($6.99/£4.99 thereafter). The game will also support Oculus Rift shortly after launch.
