'Pure Hold'em' (ALL) Chip Set Naming Competition & DLC Revealed

by Rainier on May 28, 2015 @ 2:54 p.m. PDT

Welcome to the Pure Casino, where playing big means winning big. Split across four different tables, each requiring more skill and determination than the last, Pure Hold'em brings all the excitement of the casino to the convenience of the couch.

Starting at the Joker table on the floor of the vibrant casino; those who are top of their game can work their way up to the esteemed Aces and Masters tables in the VIP penthouse. Players can buy their way into a game with earned credits, play their blinds, or go all in – whatever it takes to steal the pot and win the game. If Lady Luck is on their side, they could win big and get the chance to enter a higher level table. The higher the player goes, the higher the stakes and the bigger the pot.

With full online multiplayer support – players can choose to create a tournament with up to 8 friends or join an open table with other players looking for a quick poker fix.

VooFoo have also included various customizable options; including everything from the colors and the patterns of the table felt, right up to choosing which set of cards and poker chips you want to play with.

To commemorate the of the start of the 2015 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas;indie developers VooFoo Studios and Ripstone Publishing have revealed Pure Hold’em’s DLC plans and announced their chip set naming competition.

Players are invited to submit their suggestions for an unnamed chip set, which will be available as DLC after launch. The winner will be gifted with a console of choice, from either a PS4 or Xbox One, for their naming skills, as well as their very own credit in the game post-launch.

Gamers can look forward to getting their hands on three chip sets and three card sets with the full game at launch, later this year. Additional game packs will also be released as DLC in the months after launch, including the soon-to-be community dubbed chip set.
