'Call to Arms' Early Access Details - Screens

by Rainier on May 5, 2015 @ 3:57 p.m. PDT

Call to Arms offers an innovative new look into modern era combat. Initially featuring two playable factions, 20 realistically modeled vehicles and heavy weaponry, as well as over 60 firearms and customization, Call to Arms brings the very best in tactical gameplay.

The base game offers two factions: the United States Army and the Global Revolutionary Movement. Fight in the rural areas, factories, railway stations or in towns and use the environment to your advantage. Cover is everywhere, and almost everything can be destroyed. An unseen amount of challenges are awaiting you in exciting online combat supported by Steamworks!

The game allows you to command your units in the classic real-time strategy mode or to fight directly by taking control over an individual unit in the 3rd person action mode. Whether advancing with a Humvee, infiltrating with a Scout Sniper or crashing through buildings with a M1A2 Abrams, everything can be controlled by you!

The Early Access version, expected Q3 2015, will include multiplayer bots and replays, as well as full Steamworks integration. You will be able to play against AI or other players on a few multiplayer maps. Each of these maps has a very distinct environment and we will gradually improve and polish them as we collect feedback from players. We think quality comes before quantity, therefore we want to ensure each map plays as well as it possibly could. On top of it, we will provide you all the tools to create and upload your own maps to Steam Workshop!

We plan to release the game to backers within the next 3 months. Depending on how well the early Alpha is received, we will go live with the Early Access version a few weeks later. At this point, the game will lack a lot of features and content, but it will be stable to play. In any case, we have a clear roadmap for the game and we will deliver you a polished and finished product in the end. To avoid making any false promises, we only share details of the game that will make it into the game for certain. We think, Early Access is a lot about trust and we take this very seriously.
