Abyss Odyssey is a 2-D action platformer with a complex fighting game combat system. Players can pick one of three characters, Katrien, Pincoya or Ghost Monk, to fight the nightmare creatures emanating from the Warlock's mind at the bottom of the abyss. As players continue battling, they can capture the souls of enemies and take their form, and since every enemy has a unique moveset, the possibilities are limitless when it comes to chaining together combos.

Nearly every regular enemy can be possessed and subsequently controlled by players with full skillsets.

With upgraded 1080p graphics, all the recent updates to the PC version of Abyss Odyssey including combat balances, online 2-player and local 4-player versus mode, Zeno Clash's Golem as a mini-boss, and some new console-exclusive mini-bosses whose souls can be captured and then used in battle.
