With 2016 coming to a close Ninja Theory has updated Hellblade's release date by pushing the game to 2017.
Reasons for the delay are a previously canceled title earlier this year, which took some time to sort out, a rare opportunity to collaborate with Epic games and others to push performance capture technology forward, and lastly the progress on the game has simply not been as fast as the developers would have liked.
Ninja Theory is developing Hellblade independently and they did not want to rush out the game to meet a deadline, nor compromise quality.
