Hegemony III is a single-player tactical grand strategy game set during the founding years of the Roman Republic. Playing either as Rome or one of its many ancient rivals (Greece, Gaul and Etruria) , players command armies and manage resources to capture territory and build an empire.

The free gameplay update adds dozens of new features including new combat, scouting, rebellion, colonization and diplomacy mechanics plus AI enhancements, editor upgrades, bug fixes and more.
