Yesterday, Microsoft dropped a bombshell by announcing the closure of Lionhead Studios and Press Play, but those seem to not be the only victims, as several other developers disappeared from its "Studios" section overnight.
As you can see from the two screenshots listing Microsoft's internal studios (one taken last week, the other yesterday), several studios have been removed:
- BigPark (known for Kinect Sports Rivals)
- Function Studios (HoloLens developer)
- Good Science (known for Kinect Star Wars)
- Leap Experience Pioneers (aka LXP, Kinect?)
- Spark (known for Project Spark)
- State of The Art (aka SOTA, HoloLens developer)
Is Microsoft slimming down, merging studios or already dropping support for its Kinect/HoloLens?
