Players take on the role of elite warriors known as Slayers who protect humanity by hunting ferocious Behemoths. Dauntless is being created by a team of industry veterans from BioWare, Riot Games, and other acclaimed studios, led by co-founders, Jesse Houston, Sean Bender and Robin Mayne.

The world of Dauntless has been shattered by a cataclysmic event, creating a vast array of uncharted and majestic floating islands. Behemoths, as cunning as they are vicious, consume the land, and it’s up to the Slayers to hunt them down before they destroy what remains of the world. Slayers will explore an ever-changing frontier, brimming with verdant flora and unique wildlife.

Phoenix Labs is launching Dauntless into Closed Beta for PC today at 12:00pm PT. During this early access period, Phoenix Labs will continue to collect feedback and develop the world of Dauntless as a fun, challenging, and highly rewarding experience.

The Closed Beta will build upon Dauntless’ live service, delivering regular updates that hone and expand the gameplay experience. Slayers can look forward to new content including Behemoths, weapons and armor, islands, story expansions and much more in the Closed Beta and beyond. Players interested in beginning their journey as a Slayer can purchase one of the exclusive Founder’s Pack for immediate access to the beta.

Phoenix Labs invites attendees at PAX West in Seattle, Washington to join the hunt and play the Dauntless beta from September 1-4, 2017 at their booth (#2335). Slayers who emerge victorious from battle will be granted access to the beta and earn other exclusive rewards.

In Dauntless, Slayers can go at it alone or join cooperative parties with up to four people to take on the Behemoth threat.
