Sony Interactive Entertainment, Insomniac Games, and Marvel have teamed up to create a new and authentic Spider-Man adventure. This is an experienced Peter Parker who's more masterful at fighting big crime in New York City. At the same time, he's struggling to balance his chaotic personal life and career while the fate of millions of New Yorkers rests upon his shoulders.

When Insomniac announced the release date, they revealed the Marvel's Spider-Man pre-order bonus, which includes a Spidey Suit pack containing three suits. But they only showed one suit – Spider-Punk – with the other two being held back to be unveiled later.

Players who pre-order Marvel’s Spider-Man will get an early unlock of the Iron Spider suit inspired by Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War. This was a big collaboration between Sony Interactive Entertainment, Insomniac, Marvel Games, and Marvel Studios. And while you may have glimpsed the pre-order video before, you haven’t seen this new video we made to show it off – some of you will even be lucky enough to see this on the big screen before the movie when the film hits theaters later this week.

In Marvel’s Spider-Man, having a variety of suits for players to use was a must-have for us. We looked across all of the Spider-Man lore for inspiration, and in the final game you’ll find suits inspired by comics and film, as well as completely original suits created by Insomniac and other artists. Each of the suits looks absolutely spectacular and we can’t wait for you to see more of them.

Beyond that, most suits will also feature a special suit power that you can use in-game. These powers let you do amazing things. While we aren’t quite ready to show them just yet, I did want to mention a couple examples. The Spider-Punk suit lets you rock out with a guitar, doing an AoE attack that’ll knock enemies off their feet. And the Iron Spider has a suit power that… well, you’ll know it when you see it happen in Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War.

Key Features:

  • Be Spider-Man: An experienced Spider-Man with several years of crime fighting under his belt, Peter Parker has sheer mastery of his powerful spider-sense, dynamic skills, acrobatic abilities, and new suit.
  • Original Story: An all-new Spider-Man universe featuring familiar characters in unfamiliar roles. Peter Parker deals with his complex dual life as a young adult with great powers, discovering how his many relationships evolve.
  • Blockbuster Action in an Open World: Swing freely through Marvel's New York City as Spider-Man via cinematic set-pieces filled with a rich narrative and relatable characters.

The Digital Deluxe edition of the game ($79.99 MSRP) will include a copy of the game as well as new story chapters with our post-launch DLC series – Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps.

Insomniac Games will be supporting the game post-launch and you’ll be getting three new chapters each with new missions, new villains and characters, and additional suits for Spider-Man.

Buyers who pre-order the Digital Deluxe edition will also receive by mail a limited edition collectible pin (only available to residents of US and Canada) featuring Spider-Man as he appears on the cover art for the game.

Of course, for those collectors out there who want an incredible Spider-Man collectible alongside Marvel’s Spider-Man, the Collector’s Edition ($149.99 MSRP, while supplies last) includes all of the digital content from the Digital Deluxe Edition, as well as a Steelbook case featuring the iconic white spider, Mini Artbook from Titan Books, and an awesome Marvel’s Spider-Man statue by Gentle Giant.

Marvel's Spider-Man will be available on PS4 starting September 7, 2018 for $59.99.
