In addition to the core shooter experience, Paladins also offers deep strategy and in-match character progression through decks of collectible cards, which amplify and augment a character’s core set of abilities.
In Paladins, teams are pitted against one another to capture control points and demolish the enemy's base while defending their own. Each combatant enters the battle with a primary weapon, a set of combat and movement abilities, and a personal mount to carry them quickly from one fight to the next. Players begin each match with a customizable deck of skill cards which can be activated and evolved upon leveling up in-match for enhanced strength, defense or utility throughout the session.
For the first time ever, Xbox One Paladins players will be able to face off against gamers on another platform.
Crossplay multiplayer is coming to Paladins on June 12, putting Xbox One and Nintendo Switch owners on the same servers! This will make the pool of Paladins players even larger, resulting in better and more competitive matches for all Xbox One players.
You’ll always know when you’re playing with Xbox One gamers — just look for the Xbox One logos next to their Gamertags. And if you don’t want to crossplay with Nintendo Switch owners for some reason, don’t worry; you’ll be able to turn off crossplay in the settings menu.
Crossplay was made possible by Paladins’ new Nintendo Switch version, announced earlier this week and will be available as soon as the Nintendo Switch version launches on June 12. You can download Paladins today on Xbox One and get ready to play with your friends on Nintendo Switch!
We look forward to the day where we can support crossplay between even more platforms when all the Champions in the Realm can play together. But until then, we’re thrilled to be uniting gamers on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
