'Life is Feudal: MMO' Rolls Out Update Based On Community Feedback, Hands Out $2M Worth Of In-Game Currency

by Rainier on July 10, 2018 @ 8:54 a.m. PDT

Life is Feudal: MMO is a multiplayer sandbox RPG set in medieval times, featuring free terraforming, a rich crafting system, preset and modular building construction, engaging survival aspects and no-target physics-based combat, and a unique formation system.

In Life is Feudal: MMO, players will explore and conquer a realistic medieval world, starting out as lowly peasants, and working their way to the "top of the food chain", through crafting and construction. It's a dangerous world out there, and players shouldn't expect to go it alone, as the most successful medieval explorers are those who team up with others, form guilds and contribute to a fully functioning feudal society. Some will be butchers, others, bakers, and a skillful few will become knights...or even kings!

Life is Feudal: MMO is a large-scale group-focused RPG, that places players in a highly realistic, zero-magic, medieval world where danger lurks around every corner. It's up to players to work together to find resources, craft tools and team up to build a fully functioning feudal society in an unforgiving archaic world. Players may find a place in society as a vassal, a knight, a farmer or even royalty, as their guild builds and expands their medieval societies.

While players may start their adventure in Life is Feudal: MMO alone, as they gather and craft supplies needed to make it to the next day, they will quickly meet up with others to form groups, then guilds, and finally work their way up to complete medieval societies and nation-states. Life is Feudal: MMO is a realistic social experience, where the best way to thrive in the world is to work together and build a fully functioning society, where everyone has a place, from the most basic hunters and gatherers, to farmers, soldiers and civic leaders. There's a place for everyone in Life is Feudal: MMO, and a world ready for them to explore!

The massive new update includes community requested features such as inter-zone travel and trade, PvP battle arenas, domain-specific deities (who demand sacrifice!), specialized trading outposts and much more. Players will be even granted an opportunity to become a Pope, the official vicar of one of the twelve gods!

To celebrate this monumental moment and say “thank you” to the Players for their devotion and support, Bitbox has decided to supply every feudalist that has supported the game from the start with a set of in-game 'God’s Favor' currency. The overall amount of currency given away is valued at more than Two Million USD.

Key Features of the First Major Update for Life is Feudal

A United World: Game worlds have now been united and you can travel freely between them (once a week for regular players, once every two days for Premium subscribers). All game worlds will be shown on the global map and divided into Red (Full PvP and destruction) and Green (99% safe town claims and less PvP) worlds. Regardless of the area in which you reside, you can now communicate with everyone in Global Chat and trade between the worlds via Trade Posts!

Clergy & Their Deities (and Sacrifice!): There are 13 deities within the pantheon, with 12 of the gods in the rating. Each god watches over a certain aspect of life (e.g. harvest, hunting, craft), thus each of them desires a specific sacrifice or achievement. Become the first, top-ranked player in the god's favor and become a Makthrid. The relentlessly hard-working among you may even earn the favor of the Sleeping God and become the Archimankur (Pope)!

Utilize your power as an Archimankur; broadcast your messages to the whole world, excommunicate guilds and cave to your indulgence by pardoning repentant criminals. Prepare for politics and intrigue because each of your edicts must be voted upon by Makhtrids!

PvP Battles - Jump into the Arena: The Arena is made for ranked, hardcore PvP skirmishes and supports up to 20 foot-warriors. Mounts are prohibited. Every round lasts 12 minutes and every player has unlimited resurrection with no skill loss. Equipment durability consumption is slower than in the main world.

Outposts: Gather resources faster with our new outpost feature! Devote yourself to more important tasks by building any of the outpost types wherever you see fit. Also, Red Worlds have two additional outpost types to produce unique resources: slaves and Barmosag.

Outposts can become an integral part of war; engage in small-scale open world PvP raids to decimate those who stand in your way by attacking their resources; claim outposts from other players and guilds or kill their slaves to ruin their economy!

Slaves: No need to waste your time gathering resources by hand -- save your time and energy by taking advantage of the new slave mechanic. Players can place up to four slaves per outpost, each additional slave speeds up productivity and earns you even more production.

There are a few of ways one can get slaves in Life is Feudal: you can acquire them by controlling the slave outpost in a Red World, buy from other players, or, through a feature exclusive to Red Worlds...enslave knocked out players! Now you can make the most of your conquered foes!

…AND A NUMBER OF MINOR UPDATES & FIXES!

  • Heraldry on the map (Political map);
  • All known server border crossing bugs fixed;
  • Closed all known cheat console commands and scripts;
  • One window for all PvP events;
  • Completely new music soundtrack;
  • Reworked sound system;
  • Stamina bugs eliminated;
  • and more...

Key Features:

  • Terraforming & Construction: deform terrain - Dig tunnels, raise or level hills, and build structures like stone towers, castles and more.
  • Battle formation system: Players can be grouped up into battle formations to fight better together and gain damage bonuses.
  • Crafting: Create tools, weapons and more from resources found within the world.
  • Realistic Player Damage: Combat damage depends on weapons used, armor worn, your character's current physical condition, etc.
  • Full weather effects: There are five climate zones with distinct weather and length of seasons. Weather and climate have a real and meaningful impact. For example, trees grow better in colder temperatures and farming is best in warmer climate zones.
  • Survival gameplay: Players must take into account things like hunger, blood loss, frostbite, and wild animals.
  • Complex food and cooking system: Multiple ingredients when mixed with cooking skills create recipes to help keep players strong. Higher quality food equals better skill bonuses. It pays to keep a cooking master in the group, since their meals can provide bonuses to everyone.
  • Double health and stamina bars: One HP bar measures physical health and the other consciousness. Lose all soft HP and you pass out, but lose all hard HP and you die. The Hard Stamina bar determines how long you can run long distance, while the Soft Bar measures sprinting and short duration activity.
  • A huge persistent world: Explore a massive, no-loading screen world that spans 49 servers and would take several hours to cross on foot.
  • Private property/land claims: Players and groups can lay claim to territory, which will protect it and buildings on it from random looters.
