'Onrush' (ALL) Launches Ranked Mode, Competitive Season Debuts Later This Month

by Rainier on Aug. 13, 2018 @ 8:25 p.m. PDT

With ample incentives to race with style and send your opponents to the dirt, tearing through tracks in Onrush is an exhilarating competition of speed, flare and perseverance.

It’s not just about racing to the finish line. In Onrush, racing with style and flare is what counts as you perform incredible takedowns and put everything on the line to power up your all-important Rush bar. Rush is the ultimate power up, producing an exhilarating and devastating force which, when used at the right time, can wreak havoc on your competition.

Onrush is a contact sport. Playing it safe is not an option when running the gauntlet in landscapes riddled with risk against a pack of intensely fierce competitors. Racers will have to put everything on the line when chasing the win with daring takedowns, team maneuvers and wild stunts.

Unleash your RUSH! RUSH is the ultimate manifestation of speed and strength – an intense and unstoppable power that promises your best thrills and takedowns. RUSH is a huge shot of adrenaline to your game, whether you’re on the rampage or protecting your team-mates and it’s a hit you’ll crave again and again.

The Onrush Ranked Mode will make its way to the PS4 and the Xbox One on Aug. 13, with the first official season, Onrush Summer Slam, beginning on Aug. 27.

Onrush Pre-Season will run for two weeks, allowing players to get hands-on with Ranked Mode up the action and unlock exclusive Pre-Season rewards including XP bonuses, credits and unique Tombstones.

During Pre-Season, players will be able to take part in several ‘placement’ games to determine their skill level, and will be issued one of the following ranks:

  • Bronze: Jack, Queen, King, Ace
  • Silver: Jack, Queen, King, Ace
  • Gold: Jack, Queen, King, Ace
  • Platinum: Jack, Queen, King, Ace

Onrush Summer Slam runs for eight weeks and will deliver new celebrations, new epic character outfits, new epic vehicle shells, new epic liveries, XP bonuses, and new Tombstones.

“Ranked Mode is something the community have been asking for since day one, and we can’t wait for people to start battling it out to see who the best in the world is,” said Kris Pope, lead designer, Onrush. “In Ranked Mode, your rank will go up or down depending on how well you perform in-game. Winning as a team is, of course, the aim of the game, but individual achievements, such as the MVP award, will also help your ranking.”

“Each season will feature eight challenge cards, with a new card being unlocked every week,” Kris continued. “Each of these cards has three rewards that a player can earn by winning matches. Each win will earn the player 100 points towards each card. However, a player can increase the points they earn toward each card by unlocking seasonal win bonuses.”

Think you know what to expect from the vehicles of Onrush? Think again. Eight standout classes form the distinctive line-up of contenders, each bringing their own handling style, abilities and characteristics – including their very own unique flavour of RUSH. Whichever you pick, rest assured: you’re in for the ride of your life.

Onrush brings all-action, gravity-defying racing back at breakneck speed on PS4 and Xbox One starting June 5, 2018 for $59.99, with a PC version to follow later.
