You'll encounter fantastic and forgotten civilizations shrouded in mystery, uncover treacherous tombs and test your wits against unfathomable foes.
You'll fight back-to-back against a terrifying army of mythological menaces, unleashed by no less than a resurrected Egyptian witch queen! With such ungodly evil afoot, the Strange Brigade needs YOU!
Horde mode and Score Attack are FREE additional modes, available alongside the main campaign at launch.
Horde mode is for 1-4 players, in which they face off against waves of increasingly tougher enemies. It’s a familiar formula but with a Strange Brigade twist! Just as per the main campaign, you kill enemies to earn gold and spend it to unlock firearms and the limited-ammo prototype weapons. In Horde Mode you’ll have to think carefully about what you buy. Ammo is limited, special prototype weapons are only short-term solutions, and cash might be better spent on doors that can be opened to unlock new areas of each map – what lucrative loot will you find hidden in those sealed domains?
Like Horde Mode, Score Attack is FREE, for 1-4 players, and available at launch. Score Attack features short vertical slices of levels from the campaign, except now they’re teeming with enemies and loot!
The basic idea is to kill all the enemies and race through the level as quickly as possible – but to do it with style! A combo multiplier ticks up with every successive kill, but go long enough without felling an enemy and it’ll start to tick down. Bonus points are awarded for hitting objectives like scoring a certain number of headshots, not getting hit and making enough trap kills. A spectacular bonus is awarded for making it through the level in the set time.
But to be frank, Strange Brigade, your first objective is just to make it through the level alive, which is no mean feat on its own – so don’t start dreaming of topping the online leaderboards just yet!
Strange Brigade launches worldwide on August 28, 2018 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
