Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown also marks the return of Sunao Katabuchi as the lead writer behind the fictional storyline that players will experience in the game. Previously, Sunao Katabuchi wrote the storylines for both Ace Combat 4: Shattered Skies and Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War.

The Project ACES development team has added a “cherry on top” of Ace Combat 7 in the form of VR missions utilizing the power of PlayStation VR, exclusively for the PS4.

Tokyo Game Show 2018 (TGS) marks a point on our campaign map for a large update on VR details. We’re excited to treat TGS show attendees to more details about our VR missions which have been designed to place players in the cock pit of some of the fiercest jet fighters ever flown in military history. Players experiencing Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will be able to see their fighters in true-to-life size and detail when exploring their hangers in PlayStation VR.
