Vanguard: Fight for Rudiarius sees players pitted against each other in epic space battles, in a rich universe in which the Roman Empire never fell.

Choose from a variety of ships to suit your individual playing style. Purchase bionic upgrades to improve your chances of survival. Join alliances and legions, band together with other Gladiators, and stake your claim to freedom once and for all.

Players can join the fight on either PC or mobile devices, each with its own unique set of controls, carefully balanced to provide an optimal experience on any platform. Vanguard is best enjoyed in VR, but players don't need a VR headset to get involved.

Vanguard is designed to evolve over time based on player feedback -- and DevClever want to involve their players in the design and development process right from the start, inviting those who get in early to join the team and help shape the game.

Players can sign up from today via the game's website, or by coming along to the Vanguard booth in the Rezzed section of EGX, which runs until Sunday 23 September.

The game will launch in the coming months into a completely free open beta phase, and those who sign up early will be given direct input into the future of Vanguard.
