'Deliver Us The Moon' (ALL) Rolls Out Real-Time Ray Tracing Update - Trailer

by Rainier on Dec. 19, 2019 @ 9:08 a.m. PST

Deliver Us The Moon is a story-driven adventure & survival experience where you play a rogue astronaut sent to the moon on a secret mission to save humanity from extinction.

Powered by Unreal Engine 4, Deliver Us The Moon is playable in both 1st and 3rd person perspective, offering you an open world lunar exploration experience where you define the future of mankind and define your own ending.

Deliver Us The Moon is set in the near future where the earth's resources are nearly depleted. The nations of the world have come together to create the Worldwide Space Agency (WSA). Under the banner of the WSA, astronauts were sent to the moon to conduct research aimed at securing the future of mankind. Sadly, due to bickering between countries, no solution has been agreed upon. Now, with man's absolute last resources, you, a brave astronaut gone rogue, take the great step to the moon in a do-or-die secret mission to save humanity.

During your adventure your only companion will be a small robot named ASE, the all seeing eye. Together, you will traverse the moon, explore abandoned facilities and perhaps even uncover some secrets and hidden agendas with the information you gather. Only by working together will you be able to stand a chance in succeeding on delivering the moon!

You will become the rogue astronaut that the WSA is sending to the moon in a final do-or-die mission to save mankind from extinction. You will explore the moon and discover tools to help you during your lunar adventure together with ASE.

During your adventure, you will encounter a small flying robot called ASE. This little fellow will accompany you throughout your lunar endeavors. ASE will help you get through hazardous zones and help you face the dangers the moon has in store for you.

Deliver Us The Moon utilises the full potential of the latest version of the Unreal Engine 4, alongside Microsoft DirectX Raytracing and NVIDIA DLSS technology, to deliver stunning real-time ray tracing and global illumination and one of the most graphically immersive worlds ever seen from an independent studio.

In Deliver Us The Moon the environments and atmosphere are a great showcase for ray-traced reflections and shadows. Using ray tracing, the lighting engine casts realistic reflections on all surfaces capable of reflecting light, increasing image quality and furthering immersion. As ray-traced reflections are based on the exact geometric detail and dynamic lighting of a scene, you will see the world of Deliver Us The Moon brought to life in ways that just can’t be done in real time without ray tracing.

Deliver Us The Moon also uses ray-traced shadows to enhance accuracy of shadow maps cast from various light sources. By combining shadow maps and ray tracing, scenes with heavy shadows can be rendered at a higher level of detail than were previously possible.

In celebration of the incoming update, Wired and KeokeN are launching giveaways and streams throughout the week with a plethora of prizes to be won, including an unforgettable trip for two to NASA in Orlando, Florida, to dine with an astronaut and embark on your very own astronaut training experience.

“We’re incredibly excited to finally bring GeForce RTX to Deliver Us The Moon today.” Said Koen Deetman, Co-Founder and CEO, KeokeN Interactive, “This incredible technology truly allows us to launch the game to new heights of visual fidelity. We’d like to thank our amazing community for their patience and hope they like what they see.”

“GeForce RTX is helping to bring a new level of immersion to Deliver Us The Moon,” said Matt Wuebbling, vice president of global GeForce marketing, NVIDIA. “KeokeN has taken a giant leap to enhance the lighting in Deliver Us The Moon – and laid down a marker for how independent studios can use GeForce RTX and real-time ray tracing to bring their cinematic visions to life.”
